Aspeberget deserves to be called a sacred mountain because it is absolutely covered with petroglyphs. This tour is ideal for those who want to know more about rock carvings. It takes you to the beautiful panels at Aspeberget, one of the major rock art sites in the World Heritage.

There are about twenty rock carvings and other ancient monuments at this site. During the 1.5-kilometer-long tour you will see both painted and unpainted carvings, including sun symbols, deeply carved bulls and ritual processions. The guide tells about the rock art, the others ancient monuments and landscape changes over 3,000 years. If weather permits, we try to the documentation technique called "rubbing".

We end the walk at the top of the hill with a beautiful view of Tanum plain and the World Heritage area. A picnic basket will be waiting for us with coffee, sandwiches and a delicious cake.

The tour is held in English on August 9th at 15:00. It takes about 2 hours and goes along trails and passes a number of stairs.
