Rock art tattoo!

Pictures of tattoos with rock art motifs.

We’re planning an exhibition about rock art and tattoos, and we need your help! Well actually, there will be two exhibitions: one at the Vitlycke museum this summer, and one on the web.

So, if you have rock art (from anywhere in the world) on your body and want to participate, post a pic and tag it with #rockarttattoos and @vitlyckemuseum on Instagram (remember that your account can’t be private, as we won’t be able to see your post). Or send us an email at vitlyckemuseum@vgregion.se

If you have a backstory about your chosen picture, we would love to hear it, as well. We will be looking for a good variation of high-quality pictures. If you know someone that might be interested to participate, feel free to let them know!

How do you participate?

Post a picture on Instagram, tag it with #rockarttattos and @vitlyckemuseum. We will contact the ones we choose via a DM on Instagram. We will ask for a high-resolution copy of the picture to be send via e-mail to vitlyckemuseum@vgregion.se or, if needed, an online service for sending files.

If you don´t use Instagram, you can just send us an email with your rock art tattoo!

What´s in it for you?

Eternal glory, the satisfaction of spreading awareness about the rock art as well as a book about the rock art at Vitlycke, in the Tanum World heritage.

How will the pictures be used?

In a digital exhibition on the web.

In an exhibition at Vitlycke museum 23 June – 1 September.

How do we choose which pictures we want to use?

We will look at variation of motifs and as well as the quality (resolution and artistic expression) of the photos, of course the coolness factor ways heavily.

Picture requirements

Resolution: As large as possible. For printing: 5472 x 3648 pixels, which means a picture taken with a 20-megapixel camera. For online use, the image size can be smaller.

We will be looking for high photographic quality.
