Bronze Age Festival at Vitlycke museum
Welcome to the Bronze Age Festival at Vitlycke museum! Between 20-25th of August, the Bronze Age farm will come to life with artisans and activities.
Experience the Bronze Age
Imagine traveling 3,000 years back in time to discover the lifestyle of the Bronze Age. During our festival, reenactors from around the world will fill the Bronze Age Farm, recreating life from that era. These history enthusiasts, dressed in period costumes, will not only showcase their crafts but also spend the night in the historical longhouses.
In addition, there will be unique crafts for sale, including amber, leather goods, bracelets, and flint tools. It’s a unique opportunity to experience history in a lively and interactive way.

Archery
Archery is weather-dependent and will be canceled in case of rain. An alternative activity will be offered in case of rain.

- 10:30-12:00 Rock carving demonstration - Observe our archaeologists recreating rock carvings similar to those from the Bronze Age.
- 13:00 Bronze Age Fashion Show: See models wearing clothes carefully recreated based on archaeological findings. A commentator will talk about the clothes. Afterwards, visitors can take a closer look and talk to the models.

- 11:00-15:00 Try watercolor painting / Paint rock carving stories.The Nordic Watercolor Museum will visit with its painting workshop. Inspired by the exciting rock carvings, we let our imagination flow and create our own stories. Paint, paper, and brushes are ready. Young or old, everyone is welcome and no prior knowledge is required.
- 13:00 Bronze Age Fashion Show: See models wearing clothes carefully recreated based on archaeological findings. A commentator will talk about the clothes. Afterwards, visitors can take a closer look and talk to the models.

Entrance
All events are included in the museum entrance ticket, except for the night tour (only in swedish) which must be pre-booked. The annual pass is valid for all days during the festival.

- Day ticket: 120 SEK
- Children, youth under 20 years and students (holders of a student ID card): free admission

Language
All our activities are held in English. Visitors are of course welcome to ask questions in Swedish. Guided tours, fashion shows, and artifact demonstrations are conducted in English, unless only Swedish-speaking visitors are present.
